Tasting Room FAQs

Can I reserve your tasting room for an event?

We do not currently take general reservations at this time, but if you’d like to book an event in a portion of the tasting room email main@hpb.la for pricing.

Are kids allowed in the tasting room?

Yes, we have a full food menu and some non-alcoholic drinks for individuals of all ages. Well-behaved children are welcome to accompany an individual 21+ to the tasting room. It goes without saying, you must be 21+ to purchase alcohol.

Are dogs allowed in your tasting room?

Although we love dogs very much, they are not allowed in the tasting room, but we do have a patio that is dog friendly!

Do you serve food in your tasting room?

Yes, while our menu does rotate occasionally you can view a (hopefully) up to date version here: hpb.la/dinein

Can I bring in outside food to the tasting room?

Because we have a full kitchen, we kindly ask that you do not bring in any food not prepared in our kitchen, we do have vegan and vegetarian friendly options. One exception to this rule, since we do not serve desserts at this time, you are welcome to bring celebratory desserts, but we can not provide any utensils or plates, please be sure to bring your own. *A burrito is not a dessert.

Do you serve flights?

We do not serve flights. Depending on the beer, we typically offer two sizes a full pour and a half pour.

Do you fill growlers?

We don’t offer growler fills at this time, but do offer a limited selection of crowlers.

We do deliver on select days throughout LA and Orange County. Head here for more information.

Do you sell gift cards?

We do sell gift cards. Available in tasting room and online store (gift cards purchased from the online store are for tasting room use only).

Other FAQs

Why Highland Park Brewery when you are in Chinatown?

Our original (and still operating) brewery is located in a small (under 500 sq. foot area) behind The Hermosillo bar on York Blvd in Highland Park. This is a production only facility. Since it is so very very very close to The Hermosillo, you will often find quite a few of our beers on tap there.

What’s with all the cats?

In our warehouse we have working cats that help protect our grain from wild intruders. To learn more about working cats visit: https://la.bestfriends.org/workingcats

Do you have a membership program?

Yes, we do. Our Bottle Friends membership program provides 10% at the taproom (and online purchases) & access to limited specialty bottles. It opens once a year, you can join the wait list visit our membership page.

Will you ship canned and bottled beer to me or my store?

We occasionally offer mixed cases of cans for shipping in California. Check our instagram for on sale notices.

Can I buy a keg from you for a personal event?

Unfortunately we do not have the capacity supply kegs to retails customers at this time.

I want to serve your beer in my bar, will you distribute beer to me?

Due to our limited capacity we only have a small amount of draft accounts and a long list of people on the wait list at this time. To inquire directly about receiving beer in the future email main@hpb.la.

I’m a non-profit organization, 501(c)(3), will you donate beer to us?

Highland Park Brewery seeks to support organizations who share our goal of creating a holistic community. We strive to work with organizations who are concerned with alleviating the suffering of our neighbors, our planet, and our animal friends. While we unfortunately are unable to donate beer to events, we do provide monetary donations through fundraising beer sales in our taproom.
